A two-day event at the CNR in Pisa dedicated to research and innovation in the field of advanced approaches to radiotherapy
Aukelos took part as an official sponsor to the Tuscany Health Ecosystem (THE) Workshop on Advanced Radiotherapies and Diagnostic in Oncology, held at the CNR Research Area in Pisa on March 12th and 13th. The event, organized within the framework of the PNRR THE – Spoke 1 project, consisted in two intensive days of networking and knowledge-sharing with some of the best international experts in the field of innovative radiotherapy.
The first day saw international experts take to the stage for a series of keynote speeches focusing on advanced radiotherapy. These presentations covered all aspects from technology to infrastructure, and from physics to radiobiology. This was followed on the second day by sessions dedicated to sharing the results achieved by the various working groups within Spoke 1 of the THE ecosystem. Overall, the workshop highlighted the importance of our mission: to improve cancer radiotherapy by providing compact devices that can deliver VHEE beams in hospital settings, enhancing the precision and accessibility of treatment.
We believe that the time is right for a significant breakthrough in radiotherapy. This was clearly emphasized by the presentations of our colleagues and clinical advisors at the event. We are not alone in seeing that laser-driven accelerators hold great promise in this field, a belief that lies at the core of our development efforts.
